Social Work Counseling Services (SWCS) is a unique human service agency founded in 2000 by Widener University's Center for Social Work Education in collaboration with the Chester Education Foundation. SWCS provides counseling and assessment services for a broad range of needs in a safe and comfortable environment. It is the mission of SWCS to help individuals and families achieve their personal potential and long term growth by compassionately and respectfully helping our clients live in balance.
At SWCS, we utilize an integrative, strength based treatment model to address each individual's set of unique issues. Our social work, clinical psychology professionals and graduate student interns pull from cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, systems-focused, narrative and insight oriented approaches to design effective treatment and assessment services. It is our firm belief that treatment must be flexible and tailored in order to achieve symptom relief and increased personal growth. SWCS treatment and assessment services are provided on-site at our Delaware County, Chester, PA program offices. Individual and sexuality counseling are also available on-line and by telephone.
